French Sounds a.k.a Pronunciation ਉਚਾਰਨ

1. H is always Silent in French. Example Huit, Hôtel, Homme(man) 

2. Last alphabet is mostly silent with exception: c, r, f, l 
    For example: avec, neuf, il, pour, vol
3. “d,” “s,” “t,” and “x.” is always silent in end of the word. Chat, Choix, Chaud

4. “Ch” makes sh sound.

  1. A makes aa sound. Ex: Laval
  2. Au makes o sound. Ex: Aujourd’hui 
  3. Ai makes ay sound. Ex: Aimer 
  4. Er, et, ez, es(in some cases) makes ay sound. 
  5. E in one syllabus words like Le, de, te, me etc makes uh sound as in the.
  1. I makes ee sound. Ex: il is eel.
  2. ill makes ee-y sound. Ex: Fille, bouteille, vieille(Ville, Mille etc. are exceptions) 
  3. Ui makes wee sound Huit, Oui, bruit, puis, pluie. Exception qui
  4. ô, au, eau makes o sound as in English Go. 
  5. Oi, oy makes wa sound. Ex: Choix , Voyage 
  6. Ou make oo sound. 
  7. U makes ew sound. Tu is Tew
